Kimplas Piping Systems Private Limited - A Norma Group Company is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company and was established in Nashik, India in 1996 to manufacture Electrofusion (EF) Fittings for use in Water & Gas distribution systems and industrial applications.

Their Products carry major UK and European certifications and are accepted worldwide.

Kimplas has a "Pioneer Manufacturer" status in India for production of electrofusion fittings as they were the first to produce in house EF fittings in India. Kimplas has supplied millions of fittings since 1997 to city gas distribution companies in India, UK, Egypt, Indonesia and MENA countries. It has successfully introduced electrofusion fittings in drinking water systems and is today the Market Leader in India both in water and gas segments for electrofusion and compression fittings.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Preamble

At Kimplas Piping Systems Private Limited (KPSPL), we are committed to contribute to the inclusive growth and sustainable development of the society resulting to improvement of quality of life of people.

Purpose

The key purpose of this policy is to Define what CSR means to us and what approach we are going to adopt. Define key projects / activities that will fall under CSR activities. Identify areas of intervention that gives us guideline to undertake projects. Explain the manner in which, the projects will be executed.

Composition of CSR Committee

At KPSPL, our CSR governance structure will be headed by the Board Level CSR committee that will be ultimately responsible for the CSR projects undertaken. The committee will report to the Board of Directors.

The CSR committee shall consist of the following directors;

  • Mr. Atul A. Gambhir
  • Mrs. Lim Peck Hong
  • Mr. Koh Siang Fong
  • Mr. Tan Jeanne Boyd

Activities/ Focus Areas

In accordance with the requirements under the provisions of Companies Act 2013, CSR activities of KPSPL will focus not just around our plant(s)
and offices, but also in other geographical areas based on the needs of the communities / society.
The broad area of activities, but not limited to this, that KPSPL will undertake are as under:

  • Promoting education including special education, employment enhancing vocational skills amongst children, youths, women, adults etc.
  • Promoting health care including preventive health care, hygiene & sanitation.
  • Making available safe drinking water
  • Livelihood enhancement projects
  • Women empowerment projects
  • Environmental sustainability projects
  • Promotion and Development of traditional arts and handicrafts
  • Rural Development & Rural Infrastructure projects.
  • Any other projects within the ambit
Responsibilities of the CSR committee

Governance

The Company on its own or through a registered trust/NGO eligible to under take CSR Projects or through joint collaboration with other companies / Government, can undertake CSR activities. In case of a registered trust / NGO, such entity will work in identifying the CSR needs, implement and execute CSR projects and periodical reporting of the progress of CSR projects, within the defined approval & guidelines of the Board and the CSR Committee of Kimplas.

CSR Funds, Selection & Monitoring Process
  • The CSR funds for the purpose of carrying aforesaid activities would include 2% of average net profits made by the company as defined under section 135 of the Companies Act 2013.
  • The Surplus arising out of CSR Projects / Programmes/Activities shall not form part of business profit of the Company.
  • The CSR Committee shall evaluate the proposal to be undertaken under CSR on the basis of impact assessment (when required) and will approve funds / projects for implementation.
  • The Company Secretary will collaborate with all the stakeholders and provide regular progress report to the CSR committee and / or the Board.
Effective Date

Effective from financial year 2021-2022
